Abstract

Yunus Emre  was a Turkish folk poet and Sufi who greatly inf­lu­enced Turkish culture.

The exact date of his birth and death is not known. He lived in the thirteenth-fourteenth centuries. He wrote religious-mystical po­ems in plain, understandable language.
