Abstract

Phraseological units given in the scientific work are taken from dictionaries of Turkish phraseology. In both history and language, Turkey-Georgia's neighborhood and the multifaceted relationship had an impact and left a mark itself, which is confirmed by the list of examples given in the scientific work. Since Georgian and Turkish languages have a long history, of course, the phraseologies are also so rich and interesting in many ways, because they hold one of the special places in the language. The similarity between these two languages is very interesting and time-consuming for linguistic research, in the modern era, linguistic and cultural studies are very widespread, and one of the important issues of which is phraseological units. The interest of the issue is the identity obtained based on the comparative analysis of phraseological units.

Phraseologies are of great importance in terms of culture, because the formation and establishment of each phraseology has its history. At the same time, we often come across such units whose composition of words contains religious and specific ethnic terminology.

By comparing Turkish-Georgian phraseology and their analysis, three different options are distinguished: First, identical phraseology: whose meaning and structure are identical to each other. Second, matching phraseologies: which are different from each other structurally and with the meanings of the words, but matching can be found in the Georgian language and the third, „Untranslated“ phraseologies: whose identical and matching units cannot be found in our language, Such units are mainly represented by phraseological units based on religious and customs.
