Abstract

Given article considers the formation and developmentof political parties in Turkey before it has acquired the status of republic. Article deals with  the reasons of creation of the first political organisation in the Ottoman Empire and discusses their part in the state's future positive changes.It also discussescertain  aspects of  the establishment of “Youth Ottoman Turk Society”, which had played significant role in the forming of constitution.

The last part of the Article is concerned with the first parliam­entary elections in 1877 and its first gathering. It mentions thatthe parliament was trying to act as a truly democratic representative body.
